The Humane Society of Bay County needed an updated website to handle the large amount of applications and information requests they receive daily. Entirely staffed by volunteers, the website desperately needed to be easy to use and have a lot of information organized well. 

When it came to the design, board member Abby loved the idea of doing a pop-art inspired graphics, so with that in mind we choose bright colors, fun photography, and created new graphics (very) loosely inspiried by Warhol and design greats like Paula Scher. We completely reorganized, rewrote, and funelled traffic into increasing support for the HSBC- so much so in fact that online donations increased by over 800%. We also made it so that the administrative burden was lightened, adding the ability to fill out applications for fosters and adoptions online.

From a technical standpoint, we optimized the site for SEO, and moved the site to more stable hosting. Over the last year, the HSBC averaged approximately 700 users a week so we made the move to more stable hosting to accomodate the user load, while also keeping website speed in mind.
