Central Michigan Manufacturer’s Association

The Central Michigan Manufacturer’s Association needed an updated website. It had been a few years since it was last developed and was starting to look a bit dated. It also needed a re-worked membership/restricted access component to house information for its unique Special Intersest Groups (SIGs).

With more than 40 pages, the first thing we had to do was reorganize the content. We combed through the information, moved things, condensed things, and figured out where more information could be useful. Once the site structure was established, a fresh look was introduced using colors from the logo, bold typefaces that lent themselves well to the manufacturing industry, and carefully curated stock photography that worked for the project.

With more than 80 pages, the first thing we had to do was reorganize the content.

The membership component was simplified, using password protected pages rather than a complicated membership plugin that was an additional annual cost. The result was a streamlined content presentation that is easier to use and cost-effective. The entire website was also moved to more efficient and powerful hosting with increased security measures to prevent hacking, as well as a complete on-page SEO optimization site-wide. 

We also created pages to highlight special events and attract attendees that will grow the organizations membership base, along with supporting marketing materials like promotional videos.
